Service Description

The Specialty Certificate Workshops are part of our continuing floral education. Objective is to enhance design techniques laying emphasis on proper use of mechanics when creating a design. • Contemporary & Bridal bouquets - 15 hrs • Flowers to wear: • Contemporary floral jewelry - 15 hrs • Indian floral jewelry - 15 hrs • Ambience - 15 hrs Contemporary & Bridal bouquets - 15 hrs A continuation of the advance course. The bouquet specialties are 2 different modules of 5 classes each. In these module students learn many more advanced techniques. The focus is on using chicken wire, cane and natural material to build mechanically sound armatures used for achieving a specific look. The instructor coaches each student to ensure that they are successful with creating their armatures. Flowers to wear: Contemporary floral jewelry - 15 hrs Students are acquainted with the art of crafting exquisite contemporary jewelry. They learn how to create pieces of intricate jewelry interlaced with fresh flowers and foliage. Emphasis is placed on the process of design assembly using the wiring and taping techniques. They also learn how to use flowers that are suitable for floral jewelry since there is no water source. Indian floral jewelry - 15 hrs Floral jewelry is a part of Indian tradition and a popular trend. This series of workshops was introduced to cater to the increasing demand by students wanting to learn Indian floral jewelry. Students learn the art of folding/weaving petal, small flowers and beads to create necklace, earrings, bracelets, armlets and waistband. Ambience – 15 hrs: Flowers make a house a home. At this workshop one learns how to set up an aesthetic floral ambience around the home to create a sense of well being. From the entrance hall, living room, dining room, bedrooms, kitchen to bathroom students are taught how to create stylized floral arrangements using flowers which are cost effective and low in maintenance.
